Since I am a full-time SAHM I really have no need to be all “dolled” up, and most days I’m lucky if I get mascara on! But, that doesn’t mean that I don’t like to wear makeup, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review some mineral cosmetics from Mia Mariu.

Now since my days, or nights really, of heading out to bars and clubs are over I was looking for some great products to give me a natural look. This is what I selected:
This was my first time choosing makeup over the internet so I was pretty curious to see what everything would be like when they arrived. My Mia Mariu makeup came in nice gold boxes and everything looked as good in person as they did online.
Now please bear with me, I know I am no model, and taking self-portraits up close is definitely not my thing! Trying to take a decent “before” picture was not easy! TJ was laughing at me for taking so many photos of myself!
I was really pleased with how easy my Mia Mariu makeup was to apply. I started with my Mineral Eye Shadow Duo ~ Luna de Miel; I love that the two tones compliment one another, and you can create so many looks with just the two shades. Next I used my Intense Eye Liner ~ Black; the fact that it’s a pencil that can be sharpened over and over is great! I have used eye liners in the past that were more like a pen, and I feel that with this pencil you will definitely get more use out of it. I finished my eyes with the Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara ~ Black; it went on very smoothly and I did not have to pick out any clumps. No crazy spider eyes here. And lastly I put on my Luminous Lip Gloss ~ Romance. I absolutely love that it just barely gives a hint of color, but makes my lips super shiny!
When I came out of the bathroom TJ said, “you look really nice babe, but don’t you think makeup is a bit much for a play date?” (we were having a few kids over for the afternoon). Now, the first major thing to take note of is that my husband noticed and the second is that he gave a free-willing compliment!! Not that TJ doesn’t give compliments, but it felt really nice to have him notice my makeup 
Not only did my Mia Mariu makeup give me some confidence about myself, it also lasted the entire day! My eye shadow did not crease in my eyelids, my eye lashes stayed soft with the mascara, the eye liner did not smear or run, and my lips stayed shiny! It’s comforting to know that if I were to be out and about all day my makeup would look as good when I got home as it did when I left!
