Lamb Babies Cloth Diapers

I love cloth diapers, you all know that. And I love supporting WAHM (that’s Work At Home Moms for those not in the know), that is one of the reasons why I love Etsy and the women who make cloth diapers for us moms who are not quite capable.  During a recent Etsy-cloth diaper search I found Lamb Babies and quickly fell in love with their diapers!

Lamb Babies has a great selection of fitteds, all-in-twos, soakers and more. I’ve told you before that I love AIOs and AI2s because they are just easier for me, and with three in cloth, easy is everything!!

I was sent a one-size AI2 in great fall colors. I love it that it would be worn by any of my children and the pattern is fantastic!

The fold down rise adjustment fits babies approximately 10-35lbs, which is perfect because Zoe is approx. 16 lbs, Charlie is about 22 lbs and Keeley is around 24 lbs. Yes, you read that correctly, Charlie is almost as heavy has his big sister who is almost 2 years older than him! But that is what’s wonderful about our Lamb Babies diaper being a one-size diaper; it works for everyone.

It is lined with ORGANIC bamboo/cotton fleece which is laminated on the backside with PUL! So cozy against baby’s skin, AND waterproof! I love that there is no diaper cover required. Because the PUL is attached to the fleece, there are no “hidden” layers for smells and other yucky things to get trapped in! This is awesome because one thing I cannot stand is stinky diapers!

The insert for our Lamb Babies diaper is actually a snap-in prefold. I had never used prefolds before so I was very interested to see how well it worked. It has 6  layers (when folded) of bamboo/organic cotton fleece. This prefold style dries a lot faster than traditional multi-layer prefolds, saving you time and energy! It can also be “fanned out” at the front and/or back to suit your needs.

I love that it is has a snap so I do not have to worry about it moving around or getting bunched up in the diaper.

I tried it on Charlie because even though he weighs a couple pounds less than Keeley, he is definitely chunkier! I love that there is still room for him to grow with our Lamb Babies diaper; I was afraid that he was going to be on the last snaps at the waist, but as you can see there is still room! In fact, with all of Charlie’s “scooting” around, I had to tighten up the waist!

Charlie also has the biggest legs of our three in cloth, and the Lamb Babies diaper was gentle around his baby fat.

Charlie is also the “master of blow-outs” in this house, and let me tell you, he put our Lamb Babies diaper to the test! I am happy to report that our Lamb Babies AI2 contained Charlie’s mess.  After washing, I have a new found love and appreciation for prefolds, it dried so much faster than thicker inserts I have used before.
