Having a baby is a very exciting time, for everyone….family and friends included. A baby shower has always been a favorite time of mine, a chance to celebrate the baby (or babies) and mom before the big D-Day! As a mom who has had four kids and a couple of baby showers, I really appreciated it if guests didn’t stray off my registry….with one exception. I LOVED it when my family or friends got creative and made gifts. Charlie and Zoe have really adorable “C” and “Z” framed buttons above their cribs that was a favorite gift.
I have always wanted to give a diaper cake as a baby shower gift, but to be honest, I always thought that it would be too difficult or expensive. Leave it to Sadie from Slap Dash Mom to prove me wrong. Look at this awesome diaper cake she made, and for less than $15! Check out her easy diaper cake tutorial and impress everyone at the next baby shower you go to!

That’s very reasonable for a diaper cake, i thought it’d cost more, it looks so good! i had my baby shower in July and unfortunately i didn’t get a diaper cake
but i’l definitely be looking into getting one from them for my sister in law’s baby shower coming up. thanks for the info!

Thanks for the tutorial! I’ve always admired the diaper cakes (though I used to think they were actually cakes in the shape of diapers…which would be kinda weird!). We cloth diaper (as do most of my friends), but even still these would be great during the first few weeks where everything is just too overwhelming to think about doing cloth (at least it was for us!). I’ll have to keep this in mind for future baby showers!
Very cool! I’d probably want to make it out of cloth diapers though and it would cost a fortune
