I can’t believe how quickly the twins’ first year went by. Since this was going to be my last ever “1st Birthday” party and it was going to be a double whammy, I knew that I wanted it to be extra special. With having boy/girl twins, I was having a hard time finding a theme that would work for both, but still being super cute. Luckily for me, I checked out Birthday Express and found the Dr. Seuss 1st Birthday party supplies.

I have always called Charlie and Zoe “Thing 1 & Thing 2″ so the Dr. Seuss theme was PERFECT!

I received the  Dr. Seuss 1st Birthday Classic Party Pack for 8 which included: 8 invitations, dinner plates, dessert plates, cups, forks, spoons, 16 napkins, table cover, and cake candles.

Everything in the party pack was so adorable and had pretty much everything we needed. Here are some picks of the main items up close:

We had a lot of people coming to their party, so I got some extra items from Birthday Express to complete the look. And I  had a girlfriend who did this theme for her son’s first birthday a couple of years ago and she still had some decorations for me to use. I also made Thing 1 & Thing 2 onesies for them to wear on their big day.

It was so fun getting the house ready for their party!

Another friend of mine always makes these gorgeous, really cool cakes for her son on his birthdays so I asked her if she would make the twins’ cake. Didn’t it turn out adorable?!!

We had friends and family come to help us celebrate Charlie and Zoe’s big day! I received so many compliments on how great the house looked and how I’m “super mom” to get all this pulled off. Just for a second, I thought of taking credit…..but then I fessed up and told them that everything looked so great because of Birthday Express and some very creative and talented friends!

And yes, Thing 1 & Thing 2 had a blast at their Dr. Seuss Birthday Party!!

First let me start by saying that I LOVE my job!! I get paid to talk to people and promote a company that I believe in who help people when they are at their lowest. So, that’s pretty awesome. But, man am I exhausted at the end of the day! My family is what’s most important to me, so I have struggled finding time for Mommy and 4 Peas in a Pod. However, please do not think that this means that I will not be here for you guys sharing giveaways, reviews, recipes, crafts and whatever other randomness pops into my head. I have several exciting things in the works and now that I feel like I have the hang of being a working mom I am ready to get more great content on my blog for you guys! I appreciate your patience and understanding while I have been going through this adjustment!

With three out of four kids in diapers it seems like there is always someone needing a diaper change. TJ has made a pretty awesome changing station downstairs, but whenever we change the twins upstairs it is always such a pain. First, the top of the changing table seems to be our collection spot where we have a wipes container, lotion, diapers, nightlight and whatever else makes its way up there. (please note that we are in the process of stripping the border and plan on painting their room.)

And then if there aren’t any diapers on top you have to go into the cabinet door to grab one – which is not always an easy task when you are trying to hold on to a squirmy baby!

There is a solution though, thanks to Bobee!

I was sent a Bobee diaper caddy to test out and review.

The Bobee diaper and wipe dispenser comes blank.

And then you can decorate it to fit your nursery with the five sheets of colored decals. I love that you can really create your own look and yes, you can remove them easily if you do not like the layout.

I started with brown and green circles, but wasn’t really feeling it so I pulled off the brown circles and went with green and yellow. I’m wanting to keep it gender neutral since my twins are boy-girl. We are planning on painting the room with two-tone yellow stripes so I thought having more green with yellow accents will look nice.

The Bobee diaper and wipe dispenser is so easy to install; you just slide off the lid and then screw it to the wall.

Then you just fill it up with the diapers and wipes. It says that you can use disposable or cloth diapers with the Bobee. Now we do primarily use cloth diapers with our kids, but we use disposables at night so I decided just to fill our Bobee with disposables since it is in the twins’ roo.

Then you simply slide the cover back on.

I love how it clears up the changing table and looks great on the wall!

Not only does our Bobee look great, it also makes diaper changes sooo much easier! I can hold on to Charlie or Zoe and with one hand grab a diaper and wipes! Now you may wonder if the wipes dry out. The part of the wipe that hangs out is not as moist as wipes normally are; however, it is still very soft and the remainder of the wipe is just as moist as you would expect. I have not found that I need to use any more wipes than I usually do.  I love, love, LOVE our Bobee! It truly makes diaper changes a breeze and any time saved while changing diapers in this house is most definitely a good thing!!
